A certain world famous visiting conductor had a peculiar penchant. When in Adelaide for SASO performances and rehearsals, he took over the Adelaide Town Hall’s backstage women’s toilet for his sole personal use. The unfortunate female orchestral players had to use a toilet somewhere along Pirie Street!
