Klemperer is 7 feet tall - Note absence of Podium.
Last Series with hired Steinway from Allans. A.B.C.
had purchased new Steinway Concert Grand which Malcuzynski
used for Two Recitals during the following week.
2nd Violins on Right of Stage; 'Celli Left, behind
1st Violins; & Basses Behind 'Celli.
This is a tradition with some conductors.
The reason for relatively small orchestra is that the
program began with Schubert's Symphony No. 5 which, together
with the usual Strings, is scored for 1 Flute, 2 Oboes,
2 Bassoons & 2 Horns. There are neither Clarinets,
Trumpets nor Timpani.
