The Show Concert.
A select programme of vocal and instrumental items was submitted in the
Exhibition Hall on Friday, and greatly appreciated by the large audience. The Adelaide
Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Mr. R. W. T. Correll,
opened with a series of selections, and also supplied the second half of the
programme. Mr L. R. Bevan rendered "'Dream of my heart''. (Bevan): Miss
Gladys Cilento. "Angus MacDonald" (Roeckel) and ”Who” /Tosti):
Mr. William Robyns. "The Blue Dragoons''
(Russell) and ''Little grey home in the west*"' (Lohr);
Messrs. Leslie B. Martin und R. W. T. Correll, the
duet. "Poet _ and peasant'' (Bonheur): Mr. lR. S. Kitson, the
saxophone solo. "Song without words" (Hans) :
and Mr. L. R. Martin, ''The death of Nelson" (Braham).
